About Me

Lara Akinlude was born in London, United Kingdom.
Her interest in law stems from the relationship with her father who became a member of the Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn in the 1960’s. He was admitted to the Bar in England & Wales in the late 1960′s where he practiced as a Barrister before relocating to Africa. In 1986 her father was called to the Judiciary and was appointed as a High court judge, where he served until his retirement in 2010.


Lara Akinlude achieved her first Bachelors degree in Special Education and completed a project titled “Counselling for Disabled Children and their Parent”.In 1997 she commenced her legal journey and undertook a law degree at Coventry University, United Kingdom, where she achieved another Bachelors Degree in Law and graduated with honours, LL.B (Hons). She then proceeded to the London Guildhall University for her legal practice course, which she completed in the year 2000. She graduated in the top 10% of her class. Since her graduation she has continued to practice law.

After practicing as an attorney for over 20 years, she realized her passion fits into the areas of Commercial Law and Complex Litigation, Internet and IT Law, Immigration, and Human Rights Law., Lara has been with her husband for over 20 years, and they are happily married with Children.
